Ethernet Interfaces
The GbE MAC provides a complete CSMA/CD function supporting IEEE 802.3 (10Mbps),
802.3u (100Mbps), 802.3z and 802.3ab (1000Mbps) implementations. The device
performs all of the functions required for transmission, reception and collision handling
called out in the standards.
The GbE may be configured to be used with different media interfaces. The following
native configurations are supported:
• External RGMII/RMII device (these interfaces are provided via gasket between the
GbE’s native GMII/MII interfaces)
