Chapter 39 FlexTimer (FTM)
39.4.3.4 Counter Reset
Any write to CNT resets the FTM counter to the value in the CNTIN register and the
channels output to its initial value (except for channels in output compare mode).
The FTM counter synchronization (see FTM Counter Synchronization) can also be used
to force the value of CNTIN into the FTM counter and the channels output to its initial
value (except for channels in output compare mode).
39.4.3.5 When the TOF Bit is Set
The NUMTOF[4:0] bits define the number of times that the FTM counter overflow
should occur before the TOF bit to be set. If NUMTOF[4:0] = 0x00, then the TOF bit is
set at each FTM counter overflow.

39.4.4 Input Capture Mode
The input capture mode is selected when (DECAPEN = 0), (COMBINE = 0), (CPWMS
= 0), (MSnB:MSnA = 0:0), and (ELSnB:ELSnA ≠ 0:0).
