44.4.4 MAC Receive
The MAC receive engine performs the following tasks:
• Check frame framing
• Remove frame preamble and frame SFD field
• Frame discarding based on frame destination address field
• Terminate pause frames
• Check frame length
• Remove payload padding if it exists
• Calculate and verify CRC-32
• Write received frames in the core receive FIFO
If the MAC is programmed to operate in half duplex mode, the MAC performs the
following additional action:
• Check if the frame is received with a collision
