Chapter 35 Comparator (CMP)
CMPx_CR1 field descriptions (continued)
Description
Refer to the device data sheet's CMP electrical specifications table for details on the impact of the modes
below.
0 Low Speed (LS) comparison mode selected. In this mode, CMP has slower output propagation delay
and lower current consumption.
1 High Speed (HS) comparison mode selected. In this mode, CMP has faster output propagation delay
and higher current consumption.
Comparator INVERT
This bit allows you to select the polarity of the analog comparator function. It is also driven to the COUT
output (on both the device pin and as SCR[COUT]) when CR1[OPE]=0.
0 Does not invert the comparator output.
1 Inverts the comparator output.
Comparator Output Select
0 Set CMPO to equal COUT (filtered comparator output).
1 Set CMPO to equal COUTA (unfiltered comparator output).
Comparator Output Pin Enable
0 The comparator output (CMPO) is not available on the associated CMPO output pin.
1 The comparator output (CMPO) is available on the associated CMPO output pin.
Comparator Module Enable
The EN bit enables the Analog Comparator Module. When the module is not enabled, it remains in the off
state, and consumes no power. When you select the same input from analog mux to the positive and
negative port, the comparator is disabled automatically.
NOTE: This bit must be set in the same time with or after the mux enables (MUXCR[PEN] and
MUXCR[MEM] are set) and should be neglected in the same time or before the mux enables.
0 Analog Comparator disabled.
1 Analog Comparator enabled.
35.7.3 CMP Filter Period Register (CMPx_FPR)
Addresses: CMP0_FPR is 4007_3000h base + 2h offset = 4007_3002h
CMP1_FPR is 4007_3008h base + 2h offset = 4007_300Ah
CMP2_FPR is 4007_3010h base + 2h offset = 4007_3012h
