Section 18 Power-Down Mode
In power-down modes, operations of the CPU and some of the on-chip peripheral modules are
stopped to reduce power consumption.
18.1 Features
• Supports sleep mode and module standby mode
• Supports RTC power supply backup mode where the power supply for only the RTC is held
and other power supplies are turned off
• Supports DDR-SDRAM power supply backup mode where the power supply for only the 2.5-
V power supplied modules are held and other power supplies are turned off
18.1.1 Types of Power-Down Modes
The types and functions of power-down modes are as shown below.
• Sleep mode
• Software standby mode
• Module standby mode
• RTC power supply backup mode
• DDR-SDRAM power supply backup mode
