(6) Multi-channel Formats
Some devices extend the definition of the specification by Philips and allow more than 2 channels
to be transferred within two system words.
The SSIF module supports the transfer of 4, 6 and 8 channels by using the CHNL, SWL and DWL
bits only when the system word length (SWL) is greater than or equal to the data word length
(DWL) multiplied by channels (CHNL).
Table 19.4 shows the number of padding bits for each of the valid setting. If setting is not valid,
“” is indicated instead of a number.
