Section 30 Power-Down Modes
This LSI supports single-processor mode, dual-sleep mode, software standby mode, deep standby
mode, and module standby function as power-down modes. In power-down modes, functions of
the CPU, clocks, on-chip memory, or part of on-chip peripheral modules are halted or the power
supply is turned off, through which power consumption is reduced. These modes can be exited by
a reset or interrupt.
30.1 Power-Down Modes
This LSI has the following power-down modes and function:
1. Dual-processor mode
2. Single-processor mode (single-processor 0 mode, single-processor 1 mode)
3. Dual-sleep mode
4. Software standby mode
5. Deep standby mode
6. Module standby function
Table 30.1 shows the transition conditions for entering the modes from the program execution
state, as well as the CPU and peripheral module states in each mode and the procedures for
canceling each mode.
