Section 28 I/O Ports
The I/O pins include a weak keeper circuit or pull-up circuit that fixes the input level high or low
when the I/O pins are not driven from outside. Generally in the CMOS products, input levels on
unused input pins must be fixed by way of external pull-up or pull-down resistors. However, the
I/O pins having a weak keeper circuit or pull-up circuit of this LSI can eliminate these outer
circuits and reduce the number of parts in the system. If the pull-up or pull-down resistors is
necessary to fix the pin level, use the resistor of 4.7 kΩ or smaller.
