Section 24 USB 2.0 Host/Function Module (USB)
24.2 Input/Output Pins
Table 24.1 shows the pin configuration of the USB. If the module is not in use, handle the pins as
indicated below.
• Be sure to apply the power supply voltage.
• Connect DP1, DP0, DM1, DM0, and VBUS to Vss.
• Connect REFRIN to USBAPVcc via a 5.6-kΩ resistor with tolerance of ± 1 %.
• Refer to section 5.3, Clock Operating Modes, for handling of ht USB_X1 and USB_X2 pins.

I/O Function
I/O D+ I/O of the USB on-chip transceiver
This pin should be connected to the D+ pin
of the USB bus.
I/O D− I/O of the USB on-chip transceiver
This pin should be connected to the D- pin of
the USB bus.
Input USB cable connection monitor pin
This pin should be connected directly to the
Vbus of the USB bus. Whether the Vbus is
connected or disconnected can be detected.
If this pin is not connected with the Vbus of
the USB bus, it should be supplied with 5 V.
It should be supplied with 5 V also when the
host controller function is selected.
Note: Vbus is not provided to the connected
device.
Input Reference resistor connection pin
This pin should be connected to USBAPVss
through a 5.6-Ω ±1% resistor.
Input These pins should be connected to crystal
Input oscillators for the USB. The USB_X1 pin can
be used for external clock input.
