Section 21 I/O Ports (I/O)
21.1 Overview
The SH7055SF has 11 ports: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K and L, all supporting both input and
output.
Ports A B, E, F, H, J and K are 16-bit ports, port C is a 5-bit port, ports D and L are 14-bit ports,
and port G is a 4-bit port.
All the port pins are multiplexed as general input/output pins and special function pins. The
functions of the multiplex pins are selected by means of the pin function controller (PFC). Each
port is provided with a data register for storing the pin data.
Each of the ports A, B, D, J and L is provided with a port register to read the pin values.
21.2 Port A
Port A is an input/output port with the 16 pins shown in figure 21.1.
