3.3 Operating Modes
3.3.1 Mode 0 (MCU Extension Mode 0)
In this mode, CS0 space becomes external memory spaces with 32-bit bus width (SH7286) or 16-
bit bus width (SH7285 and SH7243).
3.3.2 Mode 1 (MCU Extension Mode 1)
In this mode, CS0 space becomes external memory spaces with 16-bit bus width (SH7286) 8-bit
bus width (SH7285 and SH7243).
3.3.3 Mode 2 (MCU Extension Mode 2)
The on-chip ROM is active and CS0 space can be used in this mode.
3.3.4 Mode 3 (Single Chip Mode)
All ports can be used in this mode, however the external address cannot be used.
