Ground
For connection to the power supply.
Connect all VCC pins to the system power
supply. The chip will not operate if there
are any open pins. Apply the same
voltage to all VCC pins.^*
For connection to ground. Connect all
VSS pins to the system ground. The chip
will not operate if there are any open
pins.
I/O circuit

PLL ground
On-chip PLL oscillator ground. The chip

PLL capacitance On-chip PLL oscillator 1 external
capacitance pin.
PLL capacitance On-chip PLL oscillator 2 external
capacitance pin.
External clock
For connection to a crystal resonator. An
external clock can also be input to the
EXTAL pin.

For connection to a crystal resonator
System clock I/O Used as external clock input or internal
clock output pin.
