4.6.2 External Clock Input Methods
An external clock is input from the EXTAL pin or the CKIO pin, depending on the clock mode.
Clock Input from EXTAL Pin
This method can be used in clock modes 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

0, 1, 2, and 3, and is high-impedance
in clock modes 4 and 5.
