Chapter 2: HardCopy IV GX Dynamic Reconfiguration
The rx_tx_duplex_sel[1:0] Port
You can enable this port by selecting the Use 'rx_tx_duplex_sel' port to enable RX
only and TX only or duplex reconfiguration options in the Error checks/Data rate
switch screen of the ALTGX_RECONFIG MegaWizard Plug-In Manager, as shown in
Figure 2â18.
Figure 2â18. Use 'rx_tx_duplex_sel' Port to Enable RX Only Option and the TX only or Duplex
Reconfiguration Options in the ALTGX_RECONFIG MegaWizard Plug-In Manager
This option is available only when you select one of the dynamic reconfiguration
modes (in addition to the default Offset cancellation for Receiver channels option) in
the Reconfiguration settings screen of the ALTGX_RECONFIG MegaWizard Plug-In
Manager. Table 2â22 shows the settings for the rx_tx_duplex_sel[1:0] input port
of the ALTGX_RECONFIG instance for this port.

Note to Table 2â22:
(1) For more information, refer to âDynamic Reconfiguration Controller Port Listâ on page 2â11.
For .mif-based dynamic reconfiguration modes, the advantage of using the
rx_tx_duplex_sel[1:0] port is that you can inform the dynamic reconfiguration
controller to load only the receiver settings, transmitter settings, or both receiver and
transmitter settings, through this port.
