If a switch is made from receive function enabled (RE
= 1) to disabled (RE = 0) while a frame is being
received, the receive function will be enabled until
reception of the corresponding frame is completed.

If a switch is made from transmit function enabled
(TE = 1) to disabled (TE = 0) while a frame is being
transmitted, the transmit function will be enabled until

R/W Internal Loop Back Mode
Specifies loopback mode in the EtherC.
0: Normal data transmission/reception is performed.
1: Data loopback is performed inside the MAC in the
EtherC at DM = 1.

R/W External Loop Back Mode
This bit value is output directly to this LSI’s general-
purpose external output pin (EXOUT). This bit is
used for loopback mode directives, etc., in the PHY-
LSI, using the EXOUT pin. In order for PHY-LSI
loopback to be implemented using this function, the
PHY-LSI must have a pin corresponding to the
EXOUT pin.
0: Low-level output from the EXOUT pin
1: High-level output from the EXOUT pin
