23.1.9 Port E I/O Register L (PEIORL)
PEIORL is a 16-bit readable/writable register that selects the input/output direction for the port E
pins. Bits PE11IOR to PE0IOR correspond to pins PE11 to PE00 (multiplexed pin names other
than port names are omitted), respectively. PEIORL is enabled when the function of the port E
pins is set to general-purpose I/O (PE11 to PE00), and is disabled in other cases.
When a bit in PEIORL is set to 1, the corresponding pin is set to output, and when set to 0, the pin
is set to input.
Bits 15 to 12 in PEIORL are reserved. These bits are always read as 0. The write value should
always be 0.
The initial value of PEIORL is H'0000.
