This register counts the number of packets dropped at ingress due to a bad UDP checksum. The packet will also be
counted as an error by the receiving MAC.
Note:
Port and GPIO registers share a common address space. Port registers are selected by the Bank Select
(BANK_SEL[2:0] in the 1588 Bank Port GPIO Select Register (1588_BANK_PORT_GPIO_SEL). The port
accessed (“x”) is set by the Port Select (PORT_SEL[1:0]) field.

31:0 Bad Checksum Dropped Count (BAD_CHKSUM_DROPPED_CNT[31:0])
This field is a count of packets dropped at ingress due to a bad UDP check-
sum. It can be cleared by writing a zero value at the risk of losing any previ-
ous count.
Note: This counter will stop at its maximum value of FFFF_FFFFh.
Minimum rollover time at 100 Mbps is approximately 481 hours.
