18.3.2 Port C Data Register (PCDR)
The port C data register (PCDR) is a 16-bit readable/writable register that stores port C data. Bits
PC15DR to PC0DR correspond to pins PC15 to PC0 (multiplexed functions omitted here).
When a pin functions is a general output, if a value is written to PCDR, that value is output
directly from the pin, and if PCDR is read, the register value is returned directly regardless of the
pin state.
When a pin function is a general input, if PCDR is read, the pin state, not the register value, is
returned directly. If a value is written to PCDR, although that value is written into PCDR, it does
not affect the pin state. Table 18.3 summarizes port C data register read/write operations.
