3.4.3.5.1 Core Configuration Section – Section Length
The section length word contains the length of the section in words. Note that the sections length does
not contain the section length word itself.
3.4.3.5.2 Ethernet Address – Offset 1-3
The Ethernet Individual Address (IA) is a 6-byte field that must be unique for each NIC and must also
be unique for each copy of the EEPROM image. The first three bytes are vendor specific. For example,
the IA is equal to [00 AA 00] or [00 A0 C9] for Intel products. The value of this field is loaded into the
Receive Address register 0 (RAL0/RAH0).
For the purpose of this datasheet, the IA byte numbering convention is as follows:
