Reset Controller Module
5.2 Introduction
The reset controller is provided to:
• Determine the cause of reset
• Assert the appropriate reset signals to the system
• Keep a history of what caused the reset
5.3 Features
Features of the reset controller module include:
• Six sources of reset:
– External
– Power-on reset (POR)
– Watchdog timer
– Phase-lock loop (PLL) loss of lock
– PLL loss of clock
– Software
• Software can assert external RSTOUT pin independent of chip
reset state.
• Software readable status flags indicating the cause of the last
reset
