Section 9 Timer B1
Timer B1 is an 8-bit timer that increments each time a clock pulse is input. This timer has two
operating modes, interval and auto reload. Figure 9.1 shows a block diagram of timer B1.
9.1 Features
• Selection of eight internal clock sources (φ/8192, φ/2048, φ/256, φ/64, φ/16, φ/4, φW/1024, and
φW/256).
• An interrupt is generated when the counter overflows.
• Use of module standby mode enables this module to be placed in standby mode independently
when not used. (Timer B1 is halted as the initial value. For details, refer to section 5.4, Module
Standby Function.)
