15.4. Three-out-of-Six Decoding
Three-out-of-Six decoding is a similar inverse process. Three bytes of encoded data are written to ENC2-
0. The DEC bit is set to initiate decoding. The READY bit will be set when decoding is complete. The
ERROR bit will be set if the input date is not valid Three-out-of-Six data.
The Three-out-of-Six encoder decode process is also symmetric. Two bytes of arbitrary data may be writ-
ten to ENC0M-ENC0L, then encoded, then decoding will yield the original data.
