Chapter 23. On-Chip Debugger
The Z8 Encore! XP F1680 Series device contains an integrated On-Chip Debugger (OCD)
that provides advanced debugging features, including:
• Reading and writing of the Register File
• Reading and writing of Program and Data Memory
• Setting of breakpoints
• Executing eZ8 CPU instructions
23.1. Architecture
The OCD consists of four primary functional blocks:
• Transmitter
• Receiver
• Autobaud detector/generator
• Debug controller
