22.6 I/O Pin Control
The pins used for analog input can also be used for dig-
ital I/O. Configuring a pin for analog input requires three
steps. Any digital peripherals that share the desired pin
must be disabled. The pin must be configured as a dig-
ital input, by setting the corresponding TRIS bit to a ‘1’
to disable the output driver. Then, the pin must be
placed in Analog mode by setting the corresponding bit
in the AD1PCFG register.
