Select (SEL). This 3-bit field selects a group of status information from one of six slots. Status for
the slot number selected is then accessible via the Slot Status Register. When this field is 000,
the Slot Status Register is said to be in “composite mode”.
000 = Composite for all Slots
001 = Slot A
010 = Slot B

011 = Slot C
100 = Slot D
101 = Slot E
110 = Slot F
111 = Reserved
