Description
External Crystal Input. This is the input pin to the crystal oscillator. A crystal
can be connected between it and the X_OUT pin to form the oscillator. This sig-
nal is usable with external RC networks and an external clock driver.
External Crystal Output. This pin is the output of the crystal oscillator. A crystal
can be connected between it and the X_IN pin to form the oscillator. When the
system clock is referred to in this manual, it refers to the frequency of the sig-
nal at this pin. This pin must be left unconnected when not using a crystal.
RC Oscillator Output. This signal is the output of the RC oscillator. It is multi-
plexed with a general-purpose I/O pin. This signal must be left unconnected
when not using a crystal.
Debug. This pin is the control and data input and output to and from the On-
Chip Debugger. This pin is open-drain.
Caution: For operation of the On-Chip Debugger, all power pins (V_DD and
AV_DD) must be supplied with power and all ground pins (V_SS and AV_SS) must
be properly grounded. The DBG pin is open-drain and must have an external
pull-up resistor to ensure proper operation.
RESET. Generates a Reset when asserted (driven Low).
