There are the following primary differences between the previous (âAâ)
and new (âCâ) Colpitts oscillator configurations:
⢠Hysteresis was added to the clock input buffer to reduce sensitivity
to noise
⢠Internal parasitics were reduced from EXTAL to VSS to increase
oscillator gain margin.
