Memory Organization
The C508 CPU manipulates operands in the following five address spaces:
– Up to 64 Kbytes of program memory: 32K ROM for the C508-4R
: 32K OTP for the C508-4E
– Up to 64 Kbytes of external data memory
– 256 bytes of internal data memory
– 1024 bytes of internal XRAM data memory
– a 128-byte special function register area.
Figure 3-1 illustrates the memory address spaces of the C508.
