I/O Port 5
is a an 8-bit quasi-bidirectional I/O port with internal
pull-up transistors. Port 5 pins that have 1’s written
to them are pulled high by the internal pull-up
resistors, and in that state can be used as inputs. As
inputs, Port 5 pins being externally pulled low will
source current (IIL, in the DC characteristics)
because of the internal pull-up transistors.
As secondary functions, Port 5 contains the
interrupt and Timer 2 capture/compare pins. They
are assigned to the pins as follows:
