Introduction
This section describes the timer interface module (TIMA-6). The TIMA-6
is a 6-channel timer that provides a timing reference with input capture,
output compare, and pulse-width-modulation functions. Figure 1 is a
block diagram of the TIMA.
NOTE: TIMA-6 is only available on the MC68HC08AZ48,MC68HC08AZ60,
MC68HC08AB48 and MC68HC08AB60 devices.

Features of the TIMA-6 include:

– Rising-Edge, Falling-Edge, or Any-Edge Input Capture Trigger
– Set, Clear, or Toggle Output Compare Action
• Buffered and Unbuffered Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Signal

• Programmable TIMA Clock Input
– 7-Frequency Internal Bus Clock Prescaler Selection
– External TIMA Clock Input (4-MHz Maximum Frequency)
• Free-Running or Modulo Up-Count Operation
• Toggle Any Channel Pin on Overflow
• TIMA Counter Stop and Reset Bits
• Modular Architecture Expandable to Eight Channels
