General Description
Pin Assignments
Oscillator pins
The OSC1 and OSC2 pins are the connections for the on-chip oscillator
(OSC1 and OSC2) circuit. See Clock Generator Module (CGM) on page 95.
External reset pin
(RST)
A ’0’ on the RST pin forces the MCU to a known start-up state. RST is
bidirectional, allowing a reset of the entire system. It is driven low when
any internal reset source is asserted. See
System Integration Module (SIM) on page 71.
External interrupt
pin (IRQ1)
IRQ1 is an asynchronous external interrupt pin. See
External Interrupt Module (IRQ) on page 161.
Analog power
supply pin (VDDA)
VDDA is the power supply pin for the clock generator module (CGM).
Analog ground pin
(VSSA)
The VSSA analog ground pin is used only for the ground connections for
the clock generator module (CGM) section of the circuit and should be
decoupled as per the VSS digital ground pin. See
Clock Generator Module (CGM) on page 95.
Analog ground pin
(AVSS/VREFL)
The AVSS analog ground pin is used only for the ground connections for
the analog to digital convertor (ADC) and should be decoupled as per
the VSS digital ground pin.
ADC voltage
reference pin
(VREFH)
VREFH is the power supply for setting the reference voltage VREFH.
Connect the VREFH pin to a voltage potential<= VDDAREF, not less than
1.5V.
Analog supply pin
(VDDAREF)
The VDDAREF analog supply pin is used only for the supply connections
for the analog to digital convertor (ADC).External filter capacitor pin
(CGMXFC)
CGMXFC is an external filter capacitor connection for the CGM. See
Clock Generator Module (CGM) on page 95.
