19. Flash Memory Version
19.4 Standard Serial I/O Mode
In standard serial I/O mode, the serial programmer supporting the M16C/30P Group can be used to rewrite the
flash memory user ROM area in the microcomputer mounted on a board.
For more information about the serial programmer, contact your serial programmer manufacturer. Refer to the
user's manual included with your serial programmer for instructions.
Table 19.9 lists Pin Functions (Flash Memory Standard Serial I/O Mode). Figure 19.14 to Figure 19.15 show Pin
Connections in Serial I/O Mode.
19.4.1 ID Code Check Function
The ID code check function determines whether the ID codes sent from the serial programmer matches those
written in the flash memory. (Refer to 19.2 Functions To Prevent Flash Memory from Rewriting.)
