Setting this bit-field to â0â configures the XRT72L13 to
operate in the âDual-Railâ Mode. In this mode, the
âTransmit Sectionâ of the XRT72L13 M13 device will
output data to the LIU via the âTxPOSâ and âTxNEGâ
output pins. Additionally, the âReceive Sectionâ of the
device will receive data from the LIU via âRxPOSâ and
âRxNEGâ input pins.
Setting this bit-field to â1â configures the XRT72L13 to
operate in the âSingle-Railâ Mode. In this mode, the
âTransmit Sectionâ of the XRT72L13 M13 device will
output data to the LIU, in a binary data stream man-
ner via the âTxPOSâ output pin. Additionally, the âRe-
ceive Sectionâ of the device will receive data from the
LIU, in a binary data stream manner, via the RxPOS
input pin.
Bit 2 - TxClkInv
This âRead/Writeâ bit-field permits the user to config-
ure the XRT72L13 M13 device to output data, via the
âTxPOSâ and âTxNEGâ output pins, upon the ârisingâ
or âfallingâ edge of âTxLineClkâ.
Setting this bit-field to â0â configures the XRT72L13
M13 device to output data via the âTxPOSâ and âTx-
NEGâ output pins, on the ârisingâ edge of âTxLineClkâ.
Setting this bit-field to â1â configures the XRT72L13
M13 device to output data via the âTxPOSâ and âTx-
NEGâ output pins, on the âfallingâ edge of âTxLineClkâ.
Bit 1 - RxClkInv
This âRead/Writeâ bit-field permits the user to config-
ure the XRT72L13 M13 device to latch data on the
âRxPOSâ and âRxNEGâ input pins input pins, into the
XRT72L13 M13 device, on the ârisingâ or âfallingâ
edge of âRxLineClkâ.
Setting this bit-field to â0â configures the XRT72L13
M13 device to latch the data on the âRxPOSâ and
âRxNEGâ input pins, into the device, on the ârisingâ
edge of âRxLineClkâ.
Setting this bit-field to â1â configures the XRT72L13
M13 device to latch the data on the âRxPOSâ and
âRxNEGâ input pins, into the device, on the âfallingâ
edge of âRxLineClkâ.
Bit 0 - Reframe
This âRead/Writeâ bit-field permits the user to config-
ure the âReceive Sectionâ of the XRT72L13 M13 de-
vice to start a new frame search. A â0â to â1â transi-
tion in this bit-field will force the chip to start a new
frame search.

The Part Number Register (within the XRT72L13 M13
device) contains the fixed value of â0x22â. This part
number value permits the user to read out the con-
tents of this register and to uniquely identify this de-
vice as the âXRT72L13 M13â device.
2.3.2.5 Version Number Register
The âVersion Numberâ register (within the XRT72L13
M13 device) contains a value which corresponds to
the âRevision Numberâ. The very first Revision of the
XRT72L13 (Revision A) will contain the fixed value
â0x01â. The contents of the âVersion Numberâ regis-
ter will be incremented for subsequent version (if
needed).
