7.15.2 UART IrDA Interface
The IrDA module operates in three different modes:
• Slow infrared (SIR) (≤115.2 kbps)
• Medium infrared (MIR) (0.576 Mbps and 1.152 Mbps)
• Fast infrared (FIR) (4 Mbps).
Figure 7-86 shows the UART IrDA pulse parameters. Table 7-96 and Table 7-97 list the signaling rates
and pulse durations for UART IrDA receive and transmit modes.
