7.4.3 Pin Functions in Each Mode
The pin functions of port 3 differ between modes 1 and modes 2 and 3. The pin functions in each
mode are described below.
Mode 1: All pins of port 3 automatically become data input/output pins. Figure 7-8 shows the pin
functions in mode 1.

Modes 2 and 3: Input or output can be selected separately for each pin in port 3. A pin becomes an
output pin if the corresponding P3DDR bit is set to 1, and an input pin if this bit is cleared to 0.
