6.5.11The CAN Application Interface
The on-chip CAN controller of the C515C does not incorporate the physical layer that connects to
the CAN bus. This must be provided externally. The module’s CAN controller is connected to this
physical layer (ie. the CAN bus) via two signals:
CAN Signal
P4.7 / RXDC
P4.6 / TXDC
Function
Receive data from the physical layer of the CAN bus.
Transmit data to the physical layer of the CAN bus.
A logic low level (“0”) is interpreted as the dominant CAN bus level, a logic high level (“1”) is
interpreted as the recessive CAN bus level.
