14.3 Register Descriptions
14.3.1 Port A I/O Register H (PAIORH)
Port A I/O register H (PAIORH) is a 16-bit read/write register that selects input or output for pins
PA19 and PA18 in port A. A pin in port A is an output pin if its corresponding PAIORH bit is set
to 1, and an input pin if the bit is cleared to 0.
PAIORH is initialized to H'0000 by a power-on reset; however, it is not initialized in sleep mode,
so the previous data is maintained.

14.3.2 Port E I/O Register (PEIOR)
The port E I/O register (PEIOR) is a 16-bit read/write register that selects input or output for nine
pins in port E. Bits PE17IOR–PE4IOR, PE2IOR, and PE0IOR correspond to multiplexed pins.
When the port E pin functions are PEX, a pin in port E is an output pin if its corresponding PEIOR
bit is set to 1, and an input pin if the bit is cleared to 0.
PEIOR is initialized to H'0000 by a power-on reset; however, it is not initialized in sleep mode, so
the previous data is maintained.
