5.8 TX/RX Data Interface Serial Bus
Data transfer between AMIS-53050 and the external host controller is based on a 3-wire or 4-wire SPI serial data interface,
respectively. The interface type is selected by writing to the appropriate register. The DOPT line is undefined in the 3-wire interface.
The 4-wire interface of the AMIS-53050 is designed to be compatible with the definition of a standard SPI interface. The device can be
configured as a master or a slave. The state of the device (master or slave) and the interface mode (read or write) will determine the
definition of the DRXTX and DOPT pins as outputs or inputs, respectively.
