transmitter error states (warning, error passive, bus off)
• Programmable MSCAN08 clock source either CPU bus clock or crystal
oscillator output
• Programmable link to timer interface module 2 channel 0 for time-stamping
and network synchronization
• Low-power sleep mode
16.3 External Pins
The MSCAN08 uses two external pins, one input (CAN_Rx) and one output (CAN_Tx).
The CAN_Tx output pin represents the logic level on the CAN: 0 is for a dominant
state, and 1 is for a recessive state.
A typical CAN system with MSCAN08 is shown in Figure 16-1.
