MIL-C-5015 Type Connectors
CA-A
CA-A connectors were originally designed and ap-
proved under Military Specifications for use in
military aircraft. Since then, commercial and indus-
trial demand for these connectors has grown be-
cause of their uniform quality, dependablility, and
interchangeability as prescribed in MIL-C-5015.
CA-A connectors are available as plugs or recepta-
cles. The term plug applies to any assembly fixed to
the end of a cable. The term receptacle applies to
any assembly mounted to a wall or box. CA shells
will accept either pin or socket insert assemblies.
Socket contacts are the closed-entry type.
Each contact arrangement is available with pin or
socket contacts and will mate with all MS type
connectors having the same size and contact ar-
rangements.
