2.2 Introduction
The MC68HC705E5 has an 8-Kbyte memory map, consisting of user
erasable, programmable read-only memory (EPROM), user random
access memory (RAM), bootloader ROM, control registers, and
input/output (I/O). Refer to Figure 2-1 for the memory map and Figure
2-2 for the register map.
2.3 EPROM
The user EPROM consists of 5120 bytes of EPROM from $0B00 to
$1EFF and 16 bytes of user vectors from $1FF0 to $1FFF.
The bootloader ROM and vectors are located from $1F01 to $1FEF.
All of the user vectors, $1FF2 through $1FFF, are dedicated to reset and
interrupt vectors. Location $1F00 is the mask option register (MOR).
2.4 RAM
The user RAM, including the stack area, consists of 384 bytes located
from $0080 to $01FF. The stack begins at address $00FF. The stack
pointer can access 64 bytes of RAM from $00FF to $00C0. Using the
stack area for data storage or temporary work locations requires care to
prevent it from being overwritten due to stacking from an interrupt or
subroutine call.
