8.1 Overview
The DS80PCI402 provides input CTLE and output De-emphasis equalization for lossy printed circuit board trace
and cables. The DS80PCI402 operates in three modes: Pin Control Mode configuration (ENSMB = 0), SMBus
Slave Mode (ENSMB = 1) for register configurations from host controller or SMBus Master Mode (ENSMB =
Float) for loading the register configurations from an external EEPROM.
