SSI interface ring operation can be activated for the
repeated output of position data in SSI protocol. In this
mode position data output is repeated cycle by cycle
separated by a zero-bit until the internal timeout t_tos (p.
12) is reached. After t_tos has elapsed a new request can
be made for position data. By checking the repeated
position data for equality, SSI ring operation mode en-
ables any possible transmission errors to be detected.
If RSSI is deactivated zeros are subsequently output
after the position data output.
