8.7 (0x10) Mode Control Register
This register is the primary control register for the accelerometer. The operational mode of the
device, X/Y/Z axis enables, and the TRIG one shot mode can be written through this register.
Most of the mode transitions controlled by this register may take up to 3 transitions of the
heartbeat clock. Depending on the operation, the lower 3-bits (MCTRL[2:0]) may be
automatically set or cleared by hardware if auto-triggered events are executed.
In general, when software sets an operational mode using the MCTRL [2:0] bits, there might
be a delay time of 2 to 10 mSec before the operational mode is reflected by the MODE[2:0]
bits in Status Register 1, address 0x08.
