SSI Synchronous Serial Port Enable
Setting this bit enables SSI operation.
The SSE values are defined as follows:
Value Description
0 SSI operation disabled.
1 SSI operation enabled.
Note: This bit must be set to 0 before any control registers
are reprogrammed.

SSI Loopback Mode
Setting this bit enables Loopback Test mode.
The LBM values are defined as follows:
Value Description
0 Normal serial port operation enabled.
1 Output of the transmit serial shift register is connected internally
to the input of the receive serial shift register.
