Using an external character generator ROM, and 8 ×
16-pixel font can be used, allowing a 16 × 16-pixel
character to be displayed in two segments. The exter-
nal CG ROM EPROM data format is described in
Section 5.1. This will allow the display of up to 128, 16
× 16-pixel characters. If CG RAM is also used, 96 fixed
characters and 32 bank-switchable characters can
also be supported.
