SECTION 9. EGRESS OVERHEAD MANIPULATION
The MC92501 supports the following features:
Â¥ The size of the ECI Ãeld used by the egress cell processing
block can be programmed by writing to the ECESÃEgress
Cell Processing Block ECI Size Ãeld in the Egress
Overhead Manipulation Register (EGOMR).
Â¥ The size of the MTTS Ãeld used by the egress cell
processing block can be programmed by writing to the
ECTSÃEgress Cell Processing Block MTTS Size Ãeld in
the EGOMR.
Â¥ The M bit used by the egress cell processing block can be
either the M bit which was extracted from the cellÃs
overhead, the logical not of the M bit which was extracted
from the cellÃs overhead, or 1 or 0 by programming the
ECMSÃEgress Cell Processing Block M Bit Source Ãeld
in the EGOMR.
Â¥ In ECI on Header mode, the ECI is extracted from the ATM
cell header. The header VPI Ãeld size can be programmed
to either 12 bits or 8 bits using the VPSÃVPI Size in ECI
on Header Mode bit of the Egress Switch Interface
ConÃguration Register (ESWCR).
