■ LDO Shutdown Switch
The internal LDO is switched ON/OFF depending on TVDD voltage range. (Table 25)
A shutdown switch is connected between VDD18 and internal digital circuit to prevent leak current from 1.8V
MOS.

LDO is ON.
LDO generates a 1.8V power.
Table 25. LDO Select Mode
(1) LDO is ON (LDOE pin = “H”)
Set the LDOE pin = “H” when power on the LDO circuit. The LDO can be operated by TVDD from 3.0 to
3.6V. In this time, the internal LDO is powered up and generates a 1.8V (typ.) power for digital circuit by
setting the PDN pin to “H” from “L”.
Load Current: 0mA~26mA
External Capacitor: 1µF(typ)±20% (variation), ±30%(temperature characteristics), Equivalent Resistance
100mΩ(max)
Rise Up Time (max) = 0.5ms
LDO Output Voltage Range = 1.7~1.9V
Over Current Limit: Operates while the over current detection is disabled.
Over Current Limit = 40mA (min), 110mA (max)
Over Current and Over Voltage Detection: PDN pin = “L” → “H”, the internal LDO is powered up. Over
current and over voltage detections are enabled after 4096 MCLK cycles. When an over current or voltage is
detected, the LDO is powered down. Set the LDOE pin to “L” once and put “H” again to power up the LDO.
Over Voltage Detection = 2.2V (min), 2.5V (max)
Over Current Detection = 40mA (min), 110mA (max)
(2) LDO is OFF (LDOE pin = “L”)
Set the LDOE pin to “L” when not using the LDO. TVDD should be in the range of 1.7~3.6V. Supply an
external power of 1.7~1.98V to the VDD18 pin.
(3) Shutdown Switch
A shutdown switch is connected between DVSS and internal digital circuit to prevent leak current from the
digital block.
Leak Current =2µA (max)
Power ON Resistance =1Ω (max)
Power Up Time =1µsec (max)
