PROBLEM
Blades retracted, ram up, machine
stops.
Gripper jaws DO NOT close,
machine cycles properly.
Machine works in HAND mode,
does NOT work in AUTO.
Machine works in AUTO mode,
NOT in HAND mode.
CAUSE
Air NOT present at P3, Port A, Line 9.
REMEDY
Repair/Replace defective LV3.
Air is present at P3, Port A, Line 9.
Clean/Lubricate one shot valve. Replace one-shot
valve.
Clean/Lubricate or replace P3.
No air pressure at Port A of gripper
regulator.
Inspect for loose or binding/broken linkage - lubricate.
Adjust wire gripper adjust assembly.
Clean/Lubricate wire gripper adjust assembly.
Replace wire gripper adjust assembly.
Air pressure at Port A of gripper regulator. Inspect wire gripper assembly for broken/worn parts.
Clean/Lubricate wire gripper assembly.
Clean/Lubricate gripper cylinder.
No air bleed at the target area in AUTO
mode when foot valve is depressed.
Replace defective gripper cylinder.
HAND/AUTO selector switch failed or broken.
Air bleed needle valve adjusted too low or failed.
Blockage of the air nozzle assembly.
Excessive air bleed at the target area in
AUTO mode with foot valve depressed.
No movement of the target actuator when
touched by the wire.
Air line disconnected from nozzle or damaged.
Reduce air flow.
Clean actuator dowel pin.
Replace actuator dowel pin.
Reduce air flow.
Adjust nozzle position.
Air bleed present at the target area when the HAND/AUTO selector switch failed.
foot switch is depressed in the HAND mode.
Clean/Lubricate S1 valve.
Replace defective S1.
