Power Down Sequence
Soft Standby and Soft Reset
The AR0833 can reduce power consumption by switching to the soft standby state when
the output is not needed. Register values are retained in the soft standby state. The
details of the sequence are described below and shown in Figure 8 on page 16.
Soft Standby
1. Disable streaming if output is active by setting mode_select 0x301A[2] = 0.
2. The soft standby state is reached after the current row or frame, depending on config-
uration, has ended.
Soft Reset
1. Follow the soft standby sequence list above.
2. Set software_reset = 1 (R0x3021) to start the internal initialization sequence.
3. After 2400 EXTCLKs (tentative), the internal initialization sequence is completed and
the current state returns to soft standby automatically.
